about theFloppyDisks
theFloppyDisks' HISTORY
theFloppyDisks formed in the Summer of 2005 in Tokyo, Japan. All of us came from very different places in life and in the world. We never could have met and done this without being in Tokyo at the right place and right time. Destiny? Fate? Coincidence? Divine intervention? The initial line-up was 3 people. Ted, Dave, and John met while all working in the same place a few years ago. Then one day things just fell into place. Well, we drank a lot in a practice studio for several hours, then in an izakaya, then each returned to our respective homes and fell into place on the floor and passed out.
theFloppyDisks became complete in November of 2005, when Jean-Bernard joined. At first he did not know he joined. Through a carefully engineered retro-virus, we were able to alter his DNA just enough to convince him that the band was actually his real family, separated by a natural disaster n 1988. He still does not know the truth.
